XNA at DevDays 09

My final session of the trip had me in front of another great audience. Thanks folks. I’ve put the code for all the demonstrations here.

After the talk it was off to grab a taxi to the station and then on to a very nice train (they have very nice trains in Holland) back to the airport and a plane home.

I like the seafood bar at Schipol airport. Not that raw fish before a flight strikes me as a massively good idea.

Did another Geek Night presentation. Things got rather frantic, perhaps the result of trying to put 70 minutes of content into a 30 minute slot. Anyhoo, thanks for being a great audience and keeping up.

Point the Camera at the Screen

I’m getting ready for my DevDays session later this week. I’m demonstrating some .NET Micro Framework devices that are a bit small, and so I thought I’d use a webcam to show close-ups of the toys. I was testing it just now and of course I pointed it at the screen.

Cool eh?

DevDays Geek Night

I’m presently limbering up for Geek Night at DevDays in Amsterdam. I’ve got bits of the Micro Framework running and we just have to fit everything together. Just noticed that if you read Geeknight quickly it looks a bit like "Geek Knight".

..or something.

I was a bit upset to find that geekknight.com has actually been taken.

De Nutty Professor Rob Miles

I'm going to be presenting at DevDays09 in Holland later this year (28/29 of May to be precise).

I'm doing two sessions during the conference, one on the .NET Micro Framework and another on XNA. I'm also doing a session at Geek Night. I did one last year, and it was great. This time I'm talking about "Ruling the World with the .NET Micro Framework". I'm going to show how you can achieve greatness by programming tiny devices. It is going to be fun, on the site at the moment they refer to me as "Rob Miles, de nutty professor uit Hull". Works for me.
